I was recently in San Francisco for weekend getaway. Along with exploring my favorite city, I had plans to do a post about one of my new favorite dresses; the Alice + Olivia Mallie Lace Dress.
I love San Francisco, and every time I visit this city I like to see new things. The last time I was there I has a very quick visit to Golden Gate Park, but I didn’t have enough time to explore all that it has to offer. So, when I heard about the Japanese Tea Garden at Golden Gate Park, I couldn’t resist.
A few years ago, I was spent quite a bit if time Japan. I always liked visiting the different gardens they have in different places throughout the county. These gardens just seem to have a mystical feel about them. Because of their age, I can only imagine all of the many things have theses gardens have seen. San Francisco’s Japanese Tea Garden is the oldest garden of this type in the country. It really gives you the feeling you’ve been transported and are walking through an authentic Japanese Garden. You can almost guarantee you’ll have a relaxing time, and you also can enjoy a cup of tea while you are there. For me, I enjoyed walking through the garden in my Alice + Olivia Mallie Lace Dress.
The Mallie Dress has the perfect amount of feminine flair that we always want, and the lace upper is absolutely beautiful. Lace is also interwoven into the bottom part, complementing the flare of this dress. What caught my attention, however, was the white under layer subtly hiding beneath the black lace. This definitely adds to the uniqueness this dress. I feel like it gives the Alice + Olivia Mallie Lace Dress a little bit of Victorian era look, and as usual Stacey Bendet has once again made a perfect dress!
