Perhaps, one of the biggest challenges most have in creating content for a fashion blog is finding out where to take your pictures and what to say about where you are. Fortunately, here in San Diego, there are a plethora of beautiful locations to choose from. For this shoot in my Ted Baker Eleese Mesh Detail Skater Dress, we had the toughest time trying to find a place that would complement my dress and also have a scenic and beautiful backdrop.
Honestly, we had no clue on where to go when we got in the car. After a few minutes of driving aimlessly, we decided to turn right in to a hidden area of single story buildings and towering trees. Both of us had never been here, and we didn’t know what to expect. As we parked the car and started walking towards the buildings, I was thinking “ugh, this is a long walk in heels, and I’m not sure it’s worth the effort.” However, as we passed through an overhanging archway of bougainvillea I noticed how the buildings that we saw when we approached were hiding a beautiful atrium of twisted vines, beautiful flowers, and super cool architecture.
What we stumbled upon was the Marina Village Conference Center and Marina. What a beautiful place for a wedding or party or holiday gathering!
I love how it showed off my Eleese Mesh Detail Skater Dress by Ted Baker, and made me feel walking underneath atrium. I think the lighting was excellent, and the rocking of the boats on the water of the marina providing a soothing feeling as I walked through the area.
What’s funny is that not only did I find a new place in San Diego, but I found a type of event where my Ted Baker Eleese Mesh Detail Skater Dress could be worn. I can envision this dress being worn to a wedding, anniversary party, or any event where you want to look cute and fun with just the right amount of dressiness. The dress is still available at Bloomingdales and Ted Baker I’m sure you’ll look great at your next event!
